About Edward Smith

Edward Smith is an artist, photographer, and master framer who has spent decades sharing his creative vision with others. Through his work, he explores moments, moods, and details that often reveal deeper meaning beyond what is seen at first glance. His photography invites viewers to slow down, look closer, and discover something new each time.

All of Edward’s artographs are created from his original photographs—no copying, please. He enjoys experimenting with color and light to create fresh interpretations and unique visual experiences. A sense of play and storytelling also carries through his work, including the thoughtful (and sometimes fun) titles he gives each piece.

Edward dedicates his life and work to his mother, Betty (Beaver) Smith (1942–2002) —the kindest person he ever knew.

Since 1996, Edward has owned and operated Picture This Gallery and Framing, where his love for art and craftsmanship comes together every day. In addition to his photography, one of his most personal artistic expressions is his award-winning custom picture framing. Edward believes a frame is more than a border—it is “a pair of caring arms wrapped around the art,” protecting it and presenting it proudly to the world.

Be smart. Frame your art.

Edward’s work can also be found on Ed's Photography, where select items, including iPhone cases featuring his photography, are available at accessible price points.
